Michael James is a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, and owner of Salem/Keizer/Albany Hearing Aid Centers of Oregon.
Oregon License # HAS-P-428251
I began my odyssey in the hearing care field in the summer of 1979 as an Oregon and Washington licensed hearing aid dispenser.
I founded Northwest Hearing Aid Consultants, Inc. In 1980. I went on to create several other hearing aid business’s and an Open House Consulting and Training business where I had the pleasure of helping train 24 other people who became licensed dispensers (many still in business today). I also worked for several Major hearing aid manufacture’s during the past 27 years as well.
In 1994 with my eldest son Robert , we founded the 1st hearing aid business in Keizer , Michael’s Hearing Care. In 2001, a tragic auto accident took my son Roberts life and as a result I was compelled to sell the practice with a non-compete clause that expired in December 2005.
I have returned to my best memories and re-opened my new practice back in Keizer, again! I am further honored that my youngest son Chris has decided to join the family business, in 2006, and now my other son Stephen, has teamed with our family practice
In late 2006 we opened a new store " South Salem's 1st" located at 4639 Commercial St. SE (see Locations).
In January 2010, we purchased the Albany Sonus Store ( formerly Santiam Pacific Hearing Services) and Stephen James returned to manage this "Family Owned Practice"!
This completes the Trilogy Family Hearing LLC, which will be a family operated business for "Family Helping Family" tradition.

As a very proud father of three myself, I’m the last of three sons to follow my father into the hearing care field. After graduating from O.S.U. with a degree in chemistry in 2000, I’ve spent the last 6 years with Synthetec in Chemical Sciences. Now I’ve joined the family business and look forward to helping you hear better!
Nicole is a very proud mother of twin daughters. She manages our front office with years of customer service experience, and is bi-lingual for those who need a little help with language.
